Legalisation

Apostille & Consular/Embassy Legalisation

Many countries around the world, especially those outside the Commonwealth, will require confirmation that Hollie Redman is duly authorised in England and Wales to act as a Notary Public. This is done by a process known as 'legalisation'.

For most countries this is done by us sending the completed and notarised document to the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office where an additional certificate is added to it together with the seal of the FCDO which confirms Hollie’s signature and seal as being genuine. This certificate is known as an ‘Apostille’.

Some countries have additional requirements which may mean that the document also has to be legalised by their own consulate or embassy in addition to the Apostille.
